You’ll always want to check the trade-in value Apple will offer you, but Best Buy tends to be quite aggressive with the value it offers to folks looking to bump up from previous models to the new generation releases and the new iPad mini 7 its no exception. 

Obviously the original price and release date on the gear you’re trading in will directly effect the value you can get against the new miniature tablet, but we will take a look at a few (realistic) options here. Here’s what you need to do to make it happen:

1. Navigate to the iPad mini 7 listing, and add the configuration you want to your cart. 
2. Then navigate to your cart, and hit the “Check Trade-In Value” button. 
3. Follow the on-screen instructions – hit Apple and iPad mini 6th generation in the appropriate menus
4. And then hit the “Search” button at the bottom and select your gear to trade-in from the results, and then “Add it to Cart”
5. If it was an iPad mini 6, choose “No” and “Good” condition in the two options presented.  
6. Then hit Add to cart to start the checkout process
7. This will then load up your cart with both the new iPad mini 7 and the trade-in gear – if you chose the iPad mini 6 64GB, your effective price on the new tablet will drop from $499 to $239.
