It’s that time of year again folks, and the 2024 Game Awards are set to go live very shortly. This year’s show is set to kick-off at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT, once again hosted by internet-famous gaming personality Geoff Keighley. Keighley’s “The Game Awards” have become the annual game awards for the industry, getting bigger and more impressive as each year goes by and it’s all set to kick off shortly. Follow along with all of the awards, musical performances, and, the thing we are really all tuning in for, the world premieres, game announcements, and release dates for the most exciting upcoming titles. This is the 10th anniversary of Keighley’s Game Awards and here’s to hoping we are in for a real show!
The Game Awards 2024
Let’s get some of the boring stuff out of the way first – the performances and actual award nominees (okay, this stuff isn’t all boring, I’m being a bit harsh here, but it’s the new game footage and announcements I’m really into).
As far as musical performances are concerned, you can expect Snoop Dogg (admittedly his new album with Dre is sounding kind of fire from what I’ve heard so far), Twenty One Pilots, D4vd, Royal & The Serpent, and The Game Awards Orchestra.
Now let’s take a quick look at some of the nominees in the major categories:
Game of the Year:

Best Action Game:

There’s a whole lot more categories than that (some that probably shouldn’t exist if you ask me), but the show must go on, and Keighley rarely disappoints with the game announcements, reveals, and what not (who remembers when he was on GameTrailers?!). The Mafia: The Old Country release window and footage already leaked from tonight, but if you didn’t already know that I’m not going to be the one to spoil it for you now.
Amazon Game Awards drops
What the Amazon Game Awards drops are, we aren’t exactly sure just yet. But we do know, whatever they are, they will be live right here:

In the nearly six-minute trailer, viewers were introduced to Ciri, the adopted daughter of Geralt of Rivia, as she takes on a witcher contract in a remote village that has been terrorized for generations by a fearsome monster demanding human sacrifices. Framed as a short, self-contained Witcher story, the trailer showcases Ciri’s new abilities and tools, including a chain and advanced magic powers.
At the heart of the trailer is Ciri’s perspective as an outsider to the village. As the villagers say goodbye to one of their own — a young girl they are preparing for a traditional ritual sacrifice — Ciri chooses to intervene. Aiming to slay the beast and save the girl at the same time, Ciri finds herself at odds with the prejudices and superstitions of the people she tries to protect, leading her to confront a painful witcher lesson: that monsters come in all forms.
