Nintendo just announced an epic upcoming LEGO Game Boy set!! Check it out…

A new and likely quite epic Nintendo and LEGO kit of some kind appears to be on the way. Nintendo just teased a mildly cryptic new collaboration between the two beloved brands that looks a lot like there’s (definitely) going to be a super sweet LEGO Game Boy of my dreams coming soon.

Official LEGO Game Boy set on the way in 2025

Nintendo just took to its official X (Twitter) account to unleash a teaser video of sorts set to some epic 8-bit chiptunes. It features some floating LEGO piece renders in silver/grey along with some pieces that are almost certainly brick-built renders of the iconic purple-ish face buttons on the Game Boy as well as a studded D-pad.

It appears as though we will be getting a brick-built Game Boy later this year:

Build the classic Nintendo system in LEGO form. Coming October 2025.

These are most likely some of the pieces used to create the body:

And these are presumably renders of the brick-built face buttons and the D-pad:

Scope out the teaser video right here.

Details are otherwise quite thin at this point. But we will keep an eye out for additional information on the upcoming LEGO Game Boy kit…it is unclear whether or not it is indeed releasing in October or just officially being unveiled, but it sure seems like we should see this Nintendo LEGO set hit store shelves before holiday 2025 at this point.

This wouldn’t be the first Nintendo crossover, that’s for sure. There’s an epic LEGO NES and TV set, as well as an entire range of Super Mario kits, from the Piranha Plant and Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block, not to mention the latest The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set. But it looks like Nintendo and LEGO are teaming up to take it way back to the late ’80s for the upcoming LEGO Game Boy building kit this year. Only problem is we will have the wait most of the year until October to get it.
