I guess it won’t come as much surprise to anyone who has been following our coverage and the near endless number of rumors and leaks over the last few months, but Bethesda has now officially confirmed The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered release.
The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered…confirmed
After taking to the official Bethesda X account not long ago, Bethesda has officially confirmed what we all already knew was coming – the remaster of the classic Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.
Last week, the developer of the upcoming remaster, Virtuos, all but confirmed the game well ahead of time after sleuths uncovered a series of official screenshots and the key art for the game directly on its official site. You can see those right here.
At that time several inside sources and reliables leakers had actually predicted the game would be officially uncovered this week – and some even said it would shadow release today or at some point in the coming days.
Bethesda has now confirmed the game as well as an official showcase (or perhaps trailer) that is now scheduled to go live tomorrow:
Tomorrow, 11:00 am EST. http://twitch.tv/bethesda and http://youtube.com/live/Ed_E2crglcw
The description on the video linked above reads as follows:
All will be revealed….Tune in on April 22, 2025, at 11am ET/8am PT.
That in combination with the imagery on the X post as well as the YouTube video basically confirms the official debut trailer (or footage of some kind) for The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered.
We will be watching along with you tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET.
Is that date on today’s official key art simply referring to the video, or will Bethesda indeed release the game at the same time?
Originally released way back in 2006, the Oblivion remaster will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC – it also expected to debut on Xbox Game Pass. It will also weight in at a huge 120.94 GB on Steam, according to reports.
