LEGO introduces Holiday Express Train and Family Christmas Tree sets as new additions to Winter Village

We’re only a week into September and LEGO has been keeping fans busy since releasing the new wave of building sets, with the exciting unveiling of the Star Wars 75419 UCS Death Star, as well as the newly confirmed Star Trek sets we’ll be getting in the future. Now, LEGO is once again ripping the (Christmas) veil off two new holiday sets joining the Winter Village collection in 2025: the 10361 Holiday Express Train and 41843 Family Christmas Tree sets! Head below to get the rundown on what to expect and browse the collected photos.

We haven’t even made it to Halloween and Thanksgiving, and like always, many people are already laser-focused on Christmas – so these new LEGO 10361 Holiday Express Train and 41843 Family Christmas Tree sets will be well-received long ahead of the actual holidays, priming this upcoming season to be quite an exciting one for builders.

First, there’s the 10361 Holiday Express Train that stacks up to 956 pieces and finally gives us another LEGO Winter Village train eight years after the previous model, allowing newer fans of the theme to finally get in on the locomotive festivity. It’s coming along with four minifigures (train conductor, engineer, and two passengers, as well as 16 pieces of track to create a circular design, which you could easily motorize with accessories that are sold separately. One notable surprise in this package is the inclusion of a 3D-printed LEGO train, which is the result of The LEGO Group’s experimentation with 3D printing in the past years, with this being the first time one has been included with a building set.

Of course, the wildcard in the new lineup is the 41843 Family Christmas Tree set that stacks up to 3,171 pieces and not only gives you a beautifully detailed display piece, but opens to reveal more festive cheer within its interior, complemented by the seven minifigures (Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and 5 elves, as well as a brick-built Cataclaws, a reindeer figure, and snowman and reindeer “cuddly toys.” What’s more, among the elves we’re seeing the inclusion of a Christmas Classic Space minifigure, topped off with the Classic Space Helmet and Airtanks in a bright green colorway, which adds a particularly noteworthy exclusive to this already impressive lineup – plus, there’s the Christmas Knight added in too!

Both these sets will officially release on October 1, 2025 for LEGO Insiders, with general purchases opening a few days later. You’ll be able to score the 10361 Holiday Express Train at $129.99 shipped, while the 41843 Family Christmas Tree set will go for $329.99 shipped.
