Giant 50-foot Mario balloon set to soar through the streets of NYC

It is Mario’s 40th anniversary this year and we have already detailed all of the new releases Nintendo is set to drop in celebration – there’s even a Talking Flower collectible from Super Mario Bros. Wonder. But Nintendo isn’t done yet, as it just announced that Mario will be soaring the skies through the streets of NYC this Thanksgiving in the Macy’s Day Parade

The Mushroom Kingdom comes to the Macy’s Day Parade

Nintendo is teaming up with Macy’s to continue the 40th anniversary celebration this year – a gigantic 50-foot Mario ballon will grace the skies of NYC late next month.

According to today’s press release the Mario balloon was created by Macy’s Parade Studio’s team of artists alongside Nintendo, bringing Mario to life like never before (as a giant ballon that measures out at 51-feet and 2-inches long, 37-feet wide, and 43-feet and 8-inches tall.

Mario will take flight over the streets of Manhattan just in time for the 40th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros. game, which first launched in Japan in 1985.

You will, presumably have to wait until parade day to see Mario in ballon form, but there is a rendering of what it will look like available straight from Nintendo:
