The first Xbox Developer Direct event of 2026 goes live today. This will be our first Xbox dev showcase in quite some time and it all goes live down below starting at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET.
Xbox Developer Direct 2026
Xbox announced the 4th installment to its Developer Direct livestream series earlier this month, and everything is set to hit the air waves very soon.
Much like we have seen from these shows in the past, you can expect deep dives on a relatively tight and focused selection of upcoming titles straight from the folks who made them – this isn’t just a stream of new trailers.
As has been the case with previous Xbox dev direct events, we already know just about everything that will be on display – although we are holding out from some kind of surprise here:
- Forza Horizon 6 gameplay debut
- Two titles from Playground Games, including an extended look at Fable
- First in-depth look at the Beast of Reincarnation game
The latter of which is the first proper AAA game from developer Game Freak outside of the Pokémon series – I’m seriously looking forward to what this one has in store for us.

Developer_Direct returns Thursday, January 22 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT, and will kick off 2026 with a look at some of the incredible games in store for players.
The show will include exclusive gameplay and developer insights for Playground Games’ Fable and Forza Horizon 6, as well as Game Freak’s Beast of Reincarnation – all presented by the people making them, and filmed in their studios.
