Target officially announces price drops on ‘3,000 products’ ahead of big spring sales

Target has officially announced thousands of upcoming price drops. This is likely the retailer both hinting at its upcoming spring sale and it attempting to get a head start on the usual annual spring sale at Amazon

While there are, for the most part, no specifics here yet, and it isn’t technically announcing an official spring sale judging by the wording in the press release, the retailer is announcing a series of official price drops on thousands of items.

Target Lowers Prices on 3,000 Spring Products, Including Everyday Essentials and On-Trend Apparel and Home Items.

The retailer says it is “lowering prices on more than 3,000 on-trend items,” including apparel and home goods, gear for the babies, and food and beverages and folks ready for spring get togethers.

It says these prices drops are “5% to 20% lower than the original price” and will begin starting in March before continuing through the spring on select items. Here are the only really details on what these items might be:

  • ApparelWomen’s and kids’ styles that reflect spring trends and everyday comfort
  • HomeBedding sets, blankets and sheets that make seasonal updates simple and affordable
  • Shoes: On-trend footwear options including flats, sandals, sneakers and more
  • Everyday EssentialsBaby items, household essentials and pantry staples

Again, this is likely just the early part of its big spring sale announcements and in direct response to the annual Amazon spring sale that we can only presume will see an official announcement any day now – it usually lands close to the las week of March.
