Xbox has now officially announced its massive summer showcase. Every year, typically in June, Xbox hosts its massive summer games showcase and it is now set it stone alongside a dedicated Gears of War: E-Day Direct.
Xbox announces massive 2026 summer Games Showcase
Xbox is once again setting aside a Sunday in June to host its massive annual Games Showcase.
The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will air on June 7 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET and, much like the last two years, will be immediately followed by a dedicated showcase for one of its big upcoming releases – the Gears of War: E-Day Direct.
Unlike its usual Partner Previews and showcases throughout the year, Xbox tends to go all out for the big June showcase, delivering over an hour of looks at brand new releases and upcoming titles, as well as world premieres for games we don’t even know about.
More specifically, Xbox says the day will kick off with its annual Xbox Games Showcase, that will include “first gameplay looks and huge news on upcoming titles from our first-party studios across the Xbox family, as well as our third-party partners around the globe – from the biggest franchises to soon-to-be indie darlings.”
Immediately after the showcase, it will host a deep dive look at “one of the games coming later this year from The Coalition Studio – the team behind the Gears franchise. The Gears of War: E-Day Direct show will “take players into the start of Emergence Day, offering new details, gameplay and insights about the hugely anticipated origin story to the Gears of War saga.”
