Dbrand debuts new $20 Joy-Lock: Ratcheting, magnetic controller holder for custom grip [Launch deal]

Dbrand has just launched its latest Switch 2 accessory – a ratcheting, articulating Joy-Con holder. The new customizable grip focuses on “the one limitation” in all controller holders – fixed ergonomics. It is available now for $19.95.

Officially known as the Joy-Lock Controller Holder, Dbrand says its design was heavily inspired by users who have been modding “Nintendo’s official Joy-Con controller holder to fit their Killswitch Grips.”

The brand has, in fact, taken things a step further with the Joy-Lock though, featuring a ratcheting mechanism that allows users to adjust the width of the grip to suit their specific needs. Dbrand says it can go from parallel, “mimicking the stock NS2 layout),” right through to wider spread, which is apparently even wider than an Xbox controller: “there’s an angle for every user and a phenomenally satisfying tactile click between each setting.”

A Switch 2 Pro Controller costs ninety US dollars. A Joy-Lock Controller Holder costs 80% less, yet pairs with the Joy-Lock grips to provide even better ergonomics. It’s also fully adjustable, allowing you to dial in your preferred angle with an ultra-satisfying ratchet mechanism.

On top of the spread alignment, there is also a “powerful set of magnets” on each side “designed to ensure your Joy-Cons won’t leave the Controller Holder until you’ve pressed the release buttons.”

The new Dbrand Joy-Lock Controller Holder is available now at $19.95 on the official site. And there is also a $5 discount when you “bundle it with our ergonomic Grip handles, or if you happen to be a former NS2 Killswitch customer.”
