World’s first-of-its-kind 1:1 scale animatronic Ultimate Grogu might be the most epic and life-like ever, pre-order today

Not all Star Wars toys and collectibles are made equal. Some of them are great little shelf companions, and there’s even some full on smartphone-controlled droids out there, but then there’s this world’s first animatronic Ultimate Grogu from Hasbro and Disney. Pre-orders are set to go live at 12 p.m. ET today on the First Edition and Standard models today at Amazon from $599. 

What do you get for $599 though? Well, we are talking about a 1:1 scale recreation that is designed to deliver the most realistic, real-life Grogu in your home and on-the-go imaginable. 

It is described as a truly premium Star Wars collectible, and one that was designed after the actual puppets used in the making of the upcoming The Mandalorian and Grogu film. 

This 1:1 animatronic version of the world’s most adorable Jedi features over 250 animations and sounds, a design loaded with 14 sensors, Beskar armor plating, the ability to sense directional audio, and, what was actually one of the most impressive part of the build for some of the folks who have seen it in person, the cookie – Grogu knows when the “smart” cookie is close by and you can double tap his head to raise his arms and use the Force (the cookie will shake and vibrate too). 

All told, it sounds like a pretty smart and impressive little animatronic Jedi – if you make a loud noise Grogu will squeal and jump up and down. Grogu makes a sound like puppy that didn’t want to be put down yet, or will look up at you and gesture to be picked up. 

Aside from how smart this little guy appears to be, hands-on reports from various outlets say that, unlike other animatronic version, the entire body is soft and life-like, every inch of the form-factor is sculpted with detail, while the polycarbonate design of eyes and teeth clearly show how premium this little Grogu is.
