Today, ECOVACS is launching its latest addition to its robot cleaning fleet, with the release here bolstering its popular window-focused models. Windows can be quite time-consuming and, depending on the location and size, also hazardous, especially those tall-reaching exteriors. The new WINBOT W2S Pro Omni robot is the latest and most precise means to tackle those needs, complete with edge-to-edge coverage, extended cordless functionality, more intelligent navigation, and a larger array of safety features for worry-free support.
High-performance precision from edge-to-edge
The new ECOVACS WINBOT W2S Pro Omni brings along an upgraded TruEdge 2.0 tech lineup, which pairs more precise frame sensing with optimized four-corner scrubbing for even greater edge-to-edge cleaning. There are four active scrubbers on this model, each with high-density felt bristles for more aggressive cleaning power that more traditional pads can miss. Not only does all this provide more cleaning power, but it also maintains more stable contact with the window’s surface. According to ECOVACS, it “delivers up to a 46% increase in cleaning efficiency compared with the previous generation, covering up to 1 square meter in 90 seconds.”
And you don’t have to worry about different window structures, as it can self-adjust its path and brush positions to adapt, cutting down on any jamming while keeping its cleaning coverage consistent and not requiring you to step in. Not only that, but it also sports a larger 4.1 fluid-ounce reservoir that allows it to cover up to 807 square feet per filling, so the work doesn’t need to constantly be paused to refill.
The exterior sides of windows can collect quite the build-up of grime, whether that is rain stains, dust buildup, bird droppings, and more – and this new robot is equipped with pressurized dual-side spray technology with three precision spray nozzles on each side to cut right through it all. Pray coverage is “expanded to 90%,” while reducing dead spots – plus, it even creates a “fine, wind-resistant and drip-free water film that loosens dirt before wiping.” The ultra-fine microfiber wiping pad does the rest, giving you a streak-free finish.
ECOVACS is redefining convenience and safety
Like its predecessor Omni model, this new robot also tows along an Omni station that really increases its efficiency, not to mention makes it a better portable cleaning companion. It holds a 5,200mAh battery for up to 110 minutes of cordless runtime on each full charge, giving it more freedom to work without having to rely on nearby outlets, especially in places like balconies or bathrooms, and others. What’s more, it can also be directly connected to AC power for extended sessions.
There is a control panel with shortcut buttons, as well as a “high-strength 2-in-1 compound cable combines power delivery and safety tethering in a single line.” This cable automatically retracts into the station upon the robot completing its task, maintaining organization and providing a tangle-free experience. You can also trust that it remains firmly anchored, thanks to the bottom suction plate that “generates more than 800N of anchoring force, with an additional 1-meter safety rope providing another layer of protection.”
Powered by the brand’s WIN-SLAM 4.0 technology, as I mentioned, the WINBOT W2S Pro Omni is more equipped for a wider range of window layouts, with it even able to adapt its planning across “expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, frameless partitions, tilting windows up to ±45°, and vanity mirrors.”
Optocoupler sensors, mechanical bumpers, pressure sensors, and an Inertial Measurement Unit (providing you with options for Fast Clean, Thorough Clean, Heavy-Duty, Zone Clean, Edge Clean and Deep Clean through the companion app, voice controls, or station controls) are all combined for the improved cleaning adaptability for difference needs and scenarios. It also comes as the quietest member of the WINBOT family, operating at 66dB, thanks to the four-layer noise reduction system, made up by Dual-Wing Air Ducts, vibration control, acoustic padding and sound insulation
Safety and your peace of mind are taken into account
Safety has been a big focus on the ECOVACS WINBOT W2S Pro Omni, with it being given a “12-tier protection system that combines hardware and software safeguards to help provide a secure and reliable cleaning experience.” For hardware protections, ECOVACS has given it 10,000Pa suction power, automatic air pressure compensation, a floating wiping pad plate, anti-drop protection and power-off protection. On the flip side, for software protections, you’ll find gravity acceleration sensing, high-speed optocoupler frame and border detection, and intelligent obstacle avoidance.
Specifically, the automatic air pressure compensation system is especially nice, as it detects air leaks “in as little as 0.007 seconds” and compensates to maintain consistent suction. It the power supply is interrupted, or the battery falls to too low a level, the power-off protection will ensure it remains attached to the window for more than 30 minutes so you can retrieve it. Of course, the brand is offering insurance protection, so if something occurs, you won’t have to pay out of pocket to fix it.
