A proper look at Grand Theft Auto VI is officially coming, and in just over a week’s time. Netflix has secured exclusive rights to show the “extended look” at the new Rockstar crime saga on August 27, but it looks like a clip of the actual gameplay might have leaked today.
Starting with protagonist (or co-protagonist rather) Jason hanging out at what very much looks like his home on the ocean (or something like that), the clip then transitions to him shooting some hoops on the side drive – we see what looks like this same basket in official images Rockstar has released.
We also get a look at what could be the Grand Theft Auto 6 HUD with a stamina meter and currency counter.
Whether or not this clip is AI slop, someone reworking some old Rockstar game with GTA VI-looking assets, or an actual low-res leak of the game itself is unclear, but it is somewhat convincing and quite possibly an early build of the game (if it’s actually real).
It seems to stem from a nefarious-sounding group known as Cyberleek with no details on where, when, or how the clip was obtained. The clip seems to want to folks to click to an external site of potentially dubious repute/origin – maybe don’t, there’s no additional footage on there anyway.
You can check it out here (or not), but you’re doing so at your own risk. The entire look at the map has also apparently leaked as well.
Either way, real or not, we will get a good look at the long awaited GTA VI next week.
