Not all power banks are made equal. Some feature one of the most impressive designs I have ever seen with an onboard display, the ability to charge two MacBooks at once, RGB lighting, and a a pair of window cutouts in the solid metal housing to put the internal tech on display – Sharge’s new Shargeek 300 Power Bank is amazing and you should, at the very least, check this thing out while the launch deal is live. Sharge is an underrated brand if you ask me. It makes some of the most impressive-looking charging gear out there and the new Shargeek 300 Power Bank is certainly a perfect example of that. 

This thing is gorgeous. Not everyone is going to be into this, arguably, cyberpunk-like see-through aesthetic with the internals on display, RGB lighting, and the onboard display, but I certainly I am and I bet you will be too once you get it in front of you. 

You’re looking at a CNC metal unibody build here – most of the popular competition in the display-laden power bank space delivers plastic housings…I kind of hate this and I very much love what Sharge has going on here. It is built like a tank. 

Up to 5–8× stronger than conventional plastic housings, it helps maintain stable performance and lower temperatures even during demanding high power output sessions.

As far as I’m concerned, this thing is super sick lookin’ – nice enough to have on display in my office for sure. 

The brand’s gear has never let me down, never failed on me, and should, frankly, be on everyone’s radar if it isn’t already. This has very much been the case with the new Shargeek 300W Power Bank here over the last month or so of putting it to the test. 

In terms of output power allocation, we are looking at a total of 300W here. When using all three USB ports, the two main USB-C jacks can deliver 140W at the same time, while the legacy USB-A deliver some bonus juice at 20W. That is, as far as I’m concerned, more than enough when it comes to powering three devices at once as I’m rarely in need of more than one or two when on the go. 

Sharge says it can take your MacBook Pro from “0% to 50% in about 25-30 minutes when using USB-C1 or USB-C2 individually.” In my testing this was right on the money, taking my 14-inch Pro from almost dead to just over 50% in 27 minutes. 

Okay, let’s talk about this display. I truly love the vibe here – it sort of has this retro, but super modern feel, and I love it. 

In terms of its functionality, it shows basically anything anyone could really ever need to know and a whole lot more than I need to know – real-time charging status, some discharging power curves I don’t really care about but really love to look at, individual cell voltages, cycle counts, usage history, and all sorts of stuff. It all works wonderfully as far as I can tell and, more importantly, makes me feel like I’m in Bladerunner or Cyberpunk 2077 every time I pull it out to use it. 

For power nerds and actual pros at this sort of thing who can actually put these charging and voltage analytics to good use, it is the most comprehensive set of power data I have ever seen on a consumer power bank. 

Well, I just found my new go-to power bank folks. It works just as good as it looks and will remain a part of my daily kit for the foreseeable future.
