We are taking a short break this morning from this week’s massive Labor Day sales at Amazon and Best Buy to dive into the September State of Play. While we are still awaiting news on the potential Nintendo Direct, Sony is going live this morning at 9 a.m. ET for what sounds like a lengthy double feature State of Play event.
September State of Play live this morning
Last go around it gave us a dedicated 20-minute gameplay deep dive on the upcoming Phantom Blade Zero, but this morning’s showcase will be, at least for starters, a more traditional September show to with updates and announcements from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners. The show will conclude with “an extended look at the vast world of Final Fantasy VII Revelation from our friends at Square Enix.”
Immediately after that, we are getting a State of Play Japan with “deep dives into upcoming games from game studios in Japan and Asia, including new gameplay, announcements, and more.”
The shows kick off at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET and you can watch them along with us down below:
