Amazon officially announces massive fall Prime Day sale: Start time, early deals, details, more

Amazon has now officially announced Prime Big Deal Days for October. The Fall Prime Day event is now official with an early October start time to deliver another massive Amazon sale event and a series of early deals you can shop right now. 

What is Amazon Prime Big Deal Days?

For those unfamiliar, Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is effectively the fall Prime Day event – a massive fall shopping event that is more or less the same as the summer Prime Day sale, but in October. 

As of late, Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is effectively the start of the massive fall shopping season and typically coincides with giant October sale events at other major retailers, including Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. 

Is there going to be another Prime Day sale this year?

Technically no, but effectively yes. As mentioned above, Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is largely the same as Prime Day, delivering millions of deals for Amazon Prime members over a shorter 48-hour period.

Amazon has now officially announced the official 2026 Amazon Prime Big Deal Days will start on October 6 and run through October 7.

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days will take place over a 48-hour period starting on October 6, as opposed to the 4-day summer Prime Day event. 

What time does Amazon Prime Big Deal Days start?

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days starts on October 6 at 12:01 a.m. PDT/3:01 a.m. ET and ends on October 7 at 11:59 a.m. PDT/October 8 2:59 a.m. ET. 

Fall Prime Day – Today’s Big Deals

Amazon will be running its Today’s Big Deals on this page through the 48-hour event, with new deals dropping three times a day at midnight, 8 a.m., and 1 p.m. PDT from brands like Shark, Princess Polly, and Soundcore by ANKER, as well as brands new to Amazon and “trending products and new releases across beauty, tech, kitchen, fashion, and home.” 

Do you need to be a Prime member to access the fall Prime Day deals?

Yes, you do need to be a Prime member to get access to the Prime Big Deal Days deals. You can join Prime for $14.99 per month or $139 per year, or start a free 30-day trial.

Early Prime Big Deal Days are now live

Prime members can already shop early Prime Big Deal Days deals now, well ahead of the October 6 start time. These early offers include deals on Amazon devices, Kindle, Amazon Music Unlimited, and Amazon Haul gear, as well as a host of Anker charging gear, and loads of Nintendo Switch games, but that’s just for starters.
