A load of new details have surfaced today on the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI, from the map size and weather systems to wildlife and new in-game activities. 

Game Informer launched an exclusive interview with Rockstar devs today, serving up new details on various aspects of the experience and 12 new screenshots from the game. 

While initially paywalled, the story did eventually go live on the Game Informer app and here are the key takeaways:

• Rockstar’s largest map to date: GTA VI’s map is 2x the size of the GTA 5 map
• The takes place across 6 main regions: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park.
• Dynamic weather system: GTA VI will feature major tropical storm events and hurricane, but the details on how and when is still unclear. Weather is also localized and persistent across the map
• 170 animal species with more than 60 types of birds, 30 land animals, and a collection of reptiles and sea creatures
• New side activities:
  • Base jumping
  • Billiards
  • Gyms
  • Kayaking
  • Mini golf
  • Scuba diving
  • Street and off-road racing
  • Visiting zoos
  • Air boating
