The Velotric Summit 2 e-bike is the second-generation descendant of the Summit 1 e-bike ($400 lower in price right now), that brings along a lighter 57-pound weight, more power for mixed-terrain riding, and smart features. Among those smart upgrades, you’ll gain an NFC card for unlocking its system, Apple Find My and Google’s Find Hub, a Pulse Mode that adjusts the pedal assistance to match heart rate zones, and the brand’s SensorSwap tech that lets you toggle between a cadence or toque sensor as you wish.
It has a 48V 750W motor (1,300W peak) powered by a 48V 16.7Ah/801.6Wh battery, with a 12 to 28 MPH adjustable speed range, and up to 70 miles of travel only using the throttle, while pedal assistance allows for up to 95 miles of travelling. From there, other features include hydraulic disc brakes, Kenda MTB puncture-resistant tires, a rear cargo rack with a 66-pound payload, a 440-pound total payload, a 9-speed Shimano Cues derailleur, LED front and rear lighting (with brake activation and turn signals), a 2-inch full-color display, and more.
