Lectric teases the possible launch of the next-generation XP 4 e-bike, sparking plenty of buzz across the market

America’s best-selling e-bike brand, Lectric Ebikes is prepping for the launch of the next generation of one of our favorite e-bikes, teasing the release of its latest iteration of the country’s most popular folding e-bike. Based on all the clues we’ve spotted coming from the brand, the new Lectric XP4 looks to be fast approaching. Head below to check out all the information we’ve collected so far, and check back in here tomorrow for more updates as they come.

Over the weekend, Lectric shared a graphic online simply reading “XP4” alongside the information of “Tune in 5.6.2025 9:30AM PT.” We’re just over 24 hours from the scheduled reveal, making tomorrow, Tuesday, likely to be one of the biggest and buzziest days in e-mobility news.

This is quite the exciting news to wake up to for riders, especially as this marks the next generation of the most popular and successful e-bike that has hit the U.S. market. Currently, the Lectric XP 3.0 has become quite the staple as both a reliable commuting solution and a highly accessible, budget-friendly option. Normally, it starts at $999 – but over the last week we’ve seen the brand offering major price cuts to new low prices, dropping the Standard 45-mile trekking models to $799 shipped while the 65-mile trekking Long-Range models are down from $1,199 to $999 shipped.

For those who’ve kept up-to-date with the brand, these price cuts – although few and far between – are not exactly unheard of, but now, with this teaser, it’s quite clear that the brand is prepping for something even bigger, and we couldn’t be more excited to find out just what has been in the works. It also leaves many questions up in the air. Will it be a more humble refresher of the series or sport some major upgrades? Are we going to get new parts thrown into the mix – such as a torque sensor to support its pedal assistance or maybe some Apple Find My or other location-tracking option that is becoming more popular and common among e-bikes and e-scooters recently?

The teaser is quite simple and does not offer much, featuring stylized stripes of white, green, and blue against a grey backdrop. Of course, these colors may just be new colorway options, but could also very much signal multiple variants for a variety of riders, too. What’s more, Lectric has a track record for releasing its newest models at highly affordable rates, and in the current U.S. market, which has been thrown into uncertainty over the last few months by tariffs on imported goods, it’s anybody’s guess as to just how exactly this – and any other new launches down the road – will be impacted.

Regardless, the company has been holding strong to its principles, even in the past with other tariffs, so expectations are quite high as we wait for the official release of further information. Be sure to stay tuned in to see just what Lectric has in store for us with this upcoming e-bike.
