We just got our next good look at The Super Mario Galaxy Movie in this morning’s Direct – including a first look at Yoshi! – but we are also now seeing pre-orders live on Amazon for Nintendo’s new Talking Flower.
Nintendo Talking Flower now available at Amazon
One of the more unique and novel releases coming out of Nintendo’s 40th anniversary Super Mario Bros. Celebration, this adorable little Flower guy is now up for pre-order at $34.99 Prime shipped on Amazon.
Set to land in your Mushroom Kingdom collection when it officially releases on March 12, there’s no telling how long stock might stick around for on this thing, and Amazon’s listing is protected by its Savings Pre-order Price Guarantee – you’ll pay the lowest price is drops to between the time of pre-order and release no matter what you pay now.
You’re not, but if you did ask me I’d say this thing is worth the price of entry even if it didn’t talk or “announce the hour (mostly accurately).”

I’d much rather it functioned like amiibo with some in game action, but it does look like a wonderful little addition to the game room nonetheless, and does feature some fun, if not sort of gimmicky, features too:
Set this little character up in your home and you’ll get words of encouragement and silly quips spontaneously throughout your day and whenever you press the Talk Button. Set the spoken language, sleep schedule, and more!
- Talking Flower can announce the hour (mostly accurately)
- Comment on the time of day and temperature
- Play select background music
- Set a bedtime and wake-up time.
- Hold down the Talk Button for two or more seconds for quiet time.
- The Talking Flower can speak in English, Spanish (Latin America or Spain), French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean
- No amiibo or video game functionality
- No Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or AI functionalities
- Is not a clock
- Requires 2 AA batteries and a Phillips-head screwdriver, not included
Nintendo Talking Flower pre-order now live at $35
