Come tune in to today’s Nintendo Direct livestream

Update: Nintendo has officially revealed the April 16 Switch release date for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream – it is “also compatible with Nintendo Switch 2.”

Right on the heels of the Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct from last weekend with our fist look at Yoshi and some new details ahed of the April release, an official announcement was made for another Nintendo Direct stream and it is set to go live this morning.

Next Nintendo Direct – Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.

Since the debut of Switch 2 last summer, Nintendo has been favoring dedicated Direct shows, specifically focusing on a single, typically big-name title for the duration of the livestream. This has been hit or miss – the Mario Kart World Direct was a bit underwhelming and didn’t really give us anything new, but the two that followed it for Donkey Kong Bananza and Kirby Air Riders were very much the opposite.

Today, Nintendo is set to host another one of these dedicated events, solely focusing on the new and upcoming Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. This is, perhaps, not in the same league as the aforementioned titles for some folks, but Nintendo has been leaning on this one for quite a while and it apparently thinks it needs its own Direct ahead of the spring launch.

We still down have a firm release date locked down for this one, but we will presumably see that today alongside a more detailed look at the gameplay.

Today’s Nintendo Direct goes live at the usual 6:00 a.m. PT/9:00 a.m. ET and you watch it along with us down below:

Join us on Jan 29 at 6am PT for the Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Direct! The presentation will last roughly 20 minutes and provide more info on the upcoming Nintendo Switch game.
