There’s no shortage of multi-device charging stations out there, but most force you to choose between wireless charging or USB-C ports for wired accessories like, say, a MacBook or an iPad. You usually get one or the other, which is a mildly annoying inconvenience Baseus is trying to resolve this with its new 245W Nomos charging station which we’re checking out today. This model packs two retractable cables, four USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, and a 15W Qi2 wireless charging pad. It’s touted to be an ultimate all-in-one solution for your desk, but does it actually deliver? I’ve been using it as my main desktop charging station for the past few weeks to see how it holds up, and you can learn more about it in detail below.

9to5Toys Take
One of the first things about this charging station that stands out is the design and build quality. It feels solid and well-made, with a layout that places USB ports across three sides so everything stays spaced out on a desk or nightstand. There’s a 15W Qi2 charging pad on top, which pops up from the body and uses a swivel hinge to adjust for viewing angle. It’s paired with two retractable 80cm braided USB-C cables rated for up to 100W. You’ll also find two front-facing USB-C ports pushing up to 140W for larger devices like MacBooks, plus two USB-A ports on the sides delivering up to 18W. It’s a well-rounded charger, in my opinion, covering all the right ports while also adding a useful wireless charging pad for your iPhone/AirPods.

This 6-in-1 charging station also features a front-facing display that gives you real-time charging info at a glance. It shows details like total power output, individual port wattage, and the current performance mode, all of which you can cycle through using a button on the side. The 3-inch LCD could’ve been a touch brighter, but it’s not necessarily a deal-breaker considering it’s only for quick check-ins to make sure everything is charging as expected.
One noticeable omission here on this model is a cooling fan, which is likely a trade-off to keep the charger compact. The charger never got uncomfortably warm during my use, even when charging multiple devices at once; however, it does seem to default to a “Balanced” mode that caps total output instead of pushing maximum wattage. I’ve repeatedly seen charging speeds held back by a bit instead of hitting peak performance – the Qi2 pad often topping out around 8 to 10W – which results in slower wireless charging. A built-in cooling solution might have helped here, as would the option to manually switch to a “Performance” mode when faster charging is needed.

This isn’t a dealbreaker, especially for desk or nightstand use, where slower, steady charging is fine, but having on-demand faster charging would’ve made it more versatile.

The fact that Baseus moved the 245W power supply out of the main charger body has helped, at least inpart, in keeping temperatures in check compared to many all-in-one designs. The trade-off is having to deal with a bulkier wall adapter, though, which makes it very difficult to pack this charger for travel. That’s a fair compromise, and it shouldn’t necessarily be an issue if you plan on using this as a stationary desktop or a nightstand charging station.

All things considered, the Baseus Nomos 6-in-1 charging station has been a solid upgrade for my desk. I use it all the time these days to power my MacBook, iPhone, AirPods, Apple Watch, and even smaller peripherals like my wireless mouse. Having as many as five USB ports available makes it super easy to keep all my everyday essentials powered up. In fact, I prefer it over UGREEN’s 500W charging station thanks to the built-in wireless charging pad, even if the UGREEN option can push slightly faster speeds. That said, this charger’s tendency to switch into “Balanced” mode a bit too aggressively can be quite frustrating, and the front LCD could’ve been a touch brighter as well. Still, these are relatively minor gripes, and they don’t take away from the fact that this 245W Nomos charger is a pretty capable unit, and it would be a solid addition to any desk.
