Fox McCloud from StarFox is in the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Nintendo confirms

Nintendo unleashed the final trailer for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie earlier this month, but the reveals ahead of the April 1 release aren’t quite done yet – it has now confirmed that Fox McCloud from StarFox is in the film.

The star-studded cast of the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie is set to hit the big screen very soon on April 1. We already know Yoshi is in the film (voiced by Donald Glover) and the latest trailer had a few new character reveals, but Nintendo has now confirmed Fox McCloud too:

This announcement, which is a rather surprising one, comes by way of a new official poster Nintendo revealed today. Fox McCloud , for those unfamiliar, is the lead in Nintendo’s long-running Star Fox series, and not a character typically found in the Mushroom Kingdom. Fox and Mario have crossed paths in crossover series like Super Smash Bros., but not in mainline Mario games. However, with the new Mario movie going entirely galactic, it appears Mario and Fox will be teaming up, or something along those lines, come April 1 when The Super Mario Galaxy Movie lands in theaters.
