Satechi debuts new metal DotDisk 80Gbps SSD Enclosure to match your MacBook [Launch deal]

Last we heard from Satechi the brand was unleashing its very first 3-in-1 25W MagSafe Charging Stand with the sleek Space Black metal design and the ChargeView 140W Desktop Charger with display, but it isn’t done yet for the season. Today the brand is debuting its all-new precision-milled aluminum DotDisk 80Gbps SSD Enclosure and with a solid 20% discount on the official site using code DOTDISK20 at checkout or on Amazon right now with the on-page coupon

Satechi debuts new DotDisk 80Gbps SSD Enclosure

Today’s Satechi launch is focused on providing users with an “ultra-compact, refined storage solution” designed to deliver “desktop-class performance.”

The brand describes the new DotDisk as “one of the smallest and fastest active-cooled storage solutions available today” by way of its integrated active thermal cooling system. This setup consists of a microfan and thermal pad that is said to maintain “consistent speeds during extended use, prevent thermal throttling,” and, thus, enhance overall performance.

The precision-milled aluminum case supports M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs up to 8TB with 80Gbps performance via USB4 V2 and Thunderbolt 5 – “ensuring seamless integration across Mac, Windows, and hybrid setups.”

  • Interface: USB4 v2 (80 Gbps), USB-C Port (1 Port)
  • Storage Expansion: M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD Enclosure (1 Slot)
  • Maximum Supported Capacity: Up to 8TB
  • Supported M.2 NVMe Size: 2280
  • Thermal Management: Integrated cooling fan
  • Port Compatibility: Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, USB4 v2, USB4
  • OS Compatibility: macOS Sonoma 14.6 or later, Windows 11, Linux compatible

A subtle LED indicator provides connection feedback without distraction, while the included 30cm Thunderbolt 5 cable, along with a screwdriver and screws, provides a simple setup and reliable performance out of the box.

The new, and particularly sweet-looking if you ask me, DotDisk 80Gbps SSD Enclosure carries a $199.99 list price, but you can land one on the official site in Silver or Space Black at 20% off for a limited time using code DOTDISK20. The same deal is live on Amazon with anon-page coupon
