New Apple HomeView: First pre-order discounts now live at Amazon

Apple unleashed its exciting new HomeView smart display yesterday, pre-orders are now live, and Amazon has already dropped the price lower than everyone else.

Amazon is now offering the brand new Apple HomeView starting down at $289.99 shipped.

That’s clearly not a giant discount or anything, but it is lower than everywhere else and you might as well keep a couple cups of coffee in your pocket.

Considering this is a whole new product category for Apple (for the most part), it isn’t taking trade-ins against this thing at all. So if you’re going to pre-order one, there’s really no benefit of doing so at Apple now that it is lower at Amazon.

As of right now, only a couple colors of the new HomeView are marked down and the Wall Mounted edition is still at full price, but we will keep a close eye on the listings as we move through the day.

Designed to keep the whole home connected in a way only Apple can, HomeView can recognize the face of up to 6 users, seamlessly switch between them, and deliver a personalized experience for each. It, of course, provides direct touchscreen connection to your HomeKit/Matter gear, makes for a sweet FaceTime and intercom-like setup around the house, and puts all of your music, podcasts, audiobooks, TV, and more into a centralized hub in your space.
