When it comes to our homes, we have a myriad of choices for monitoring changes in our environment. From smart thermostats like ecobee3 to SmartThings sensors, you can account for just about every measurable in your home. A new product called Awair Glow goes a step further and combines a number of these accessories into one device. At its core, Glow is designed to measure air quality and alert users if something is awry. But it also has a built-in light, outlet and it can track a number of stats over time.
For the most part, Awair Glow looks like any other smart home product you’d plug into an outlet. A small opening above the pass-through measures key air quality components such as temperature, CO2, humidity, chemical changes and more. All of this is compiled into the iOS app to paint a picture of your home’s air. Additionally, the outlet offers many of the smart features we’ve seen previously from brands like WeMo. You’ll be able to set timers, schedules and monitor usage. While these aren’t groundbreaking features, seeing them all wrapped up into one attractive product is noteworthy. Awair Glow is available for $99 today.
