Best of Black Friday – Games: Xbox One/PS4 console bundles, deep discounts on games, gift cards, more

Black Friday is just around the corner now and we have seen just about every major retailer’s ad. On top of a number of solid deals on Apple gear, HDTVs and more, we can also paint a pretty accurate picture of what to expect when it comes to gaming. Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop and more will all be offering deep discounts on console bundles, games and accessories. Head below for a complete break down of the best options:

As for console bundles, both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be available for $299.99 shipped from just about every major retailer that sells them. But we are seeing a number of extras thrown in to entice shoppers even further. On top of $50 off just about every bundle option, Target will offer a $60 gift card on the base model 500GB Xbox One with Gears of War Ultimate thrown in for $299.99. Next best is Walmart where the Xbox One Gears of War Bundle will also be $300, but with a $30 gift card thrown in. While not much of an option for most due to the limited number of locations, Meijer will also the same deal with a $50 card thrown in.

Other than a $50 gift card offer at Meijer, we are yet to see any additional offers on PlayStation 4 bundles outside of the $50 discount we are seeing from just about every major retailer. Those include GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart and more. In fact, some of our current Nathan Drake bundle deals are an even better value than that. Kohl’s will also have the $300 consoles plus $15 in Kohl’s cash for every $50 spent from November 23-29.

Nintendo looks to be launching an all new Wii U option with the Smash Splat bundle. As you may have guessed it will include Splatoon and Super Smash Bros. along with the Deluxe console and will be available for $249.99 during Black Friday at Walmart and with a $30 gift card at Meijer.

When it comes to games, Walmart looks to have the best/most options right now. We are seeing titles like MGSV Phantom Pain and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate down at $35 each (the lowest price ever). In the $25 category and also at their lowest prices yet, you’ll find Mortal Kombat X, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, GTA V, Splatoon, Bloodborne (matching lowest) and more.  On top of a number of $8 previous gen titles, you’ll also find all-time lows at Walmart on Rare Replay, Dishonored Definitive Edition and more.

Keep in mind, all of these titles are for current gen systems and some of them will be matched by Best Buy and GameStop. Either way you’ll want to double check with Walmart’s prices on games in general, Splatoon for example will be $10 less at Walmart compared to others.

Just as a quick mention, eBay’s Black Friday offerings will have discounts on Toys R Us and GameStop gift cards, which is a great way to extend the savings towards Christmas. An easy to save on iOS and Android titles, we are also seeing Buy One Get One 40% off on iTunes gift cards at Best Buy and a $100 Google Play gift card for $79.64 at Sam’s Club.

We are still waiting on Toys R Us and few other retailers, this is the bulk of it and should give you a good idea on how to strategize your holiday shopping. Be sure to visit our Black Friday hub regularly over the next few weeks as we will be working around the clock to bring you the best deals of the season.
