When it comes to your Apple Watch, the world of accessories seems endless. Bands, cases and docks frequently appear on 9to5Toys as our reader’s favorite deals and today we’re highlighting a new one. iPM has a range of Apple Watch add-ons including its sleek Charging Dock. Alongside its metal design and integrated MFi charging puck is a pair of USB charging ports. Head below for a quick overview and an exclusive deal for 9to5Toys readers.
Many of the Apple Watch stands that we feature in the $10-$30 range lack an integrated charging puck, meaning you’ll need to lean on the one that comes in the box. An immediate advantage of iPM’s is that it has one built-in directly to the stand. This helps cut down on clutter (read: extra wires) and improves the look overall in my eyes.
What I really love about it though is the two USB ports on the backside. Odds are good you probably charge up an iPhone at night alongside your Apple Watch. Perhaps you also keep a pair of wireless headphones or an Apple TV remote on the nightstand as well. Instead of reaching for a wall charger behind the nightstand every time, this Watch dock puts two USB ports easily within reach. We’ve seen this on other docks, as well, but rarely at the under $40 price point.
I really appreciated that iPM put some weight on the bottom of this dock, too. Some of the lower-priced stands that we’ve featured in the past lacked that heavier base which prevents it from sliding around.
Now, there are a few areas that could be improved. iPM doesn’t include a wall charger with its dock so you’ll need to include your own. Like many Apple Watch stands that have a raised arm, you won’t find support here for Nightstand Mode, which I’ve come to really enjoy with my Elago dock.
It’s overall very easy to recommend the iPM Apple Watch Dock. And today we’re offering 9to5Toys readers the chance to pick one up for just $29.99 shipped at DailySteals when promo code 9to5toysdock is applied during checkout. That’s 25% or more off the regular going rate and the best price that you’ll find. At under $30, you’re getting a full-featured Apple Watch companion that sports a quality design and solid build.
