Today, Bose unveiled the SoundLink Color for only $129.95, making it the least expensive portable Bluetooth speaker ever from Bose.
It weighs just 1.25 pounds, and measures 5” wide, 2.1” deep and 5.3” high to fit easily into a handbag, knapsack or the palm of your hand. Bose combined exclusive dual-opposing passive radiators with two high-efficiency transducers for full-range sound, including deep, low-note performance. With its size and performance, the SoundLink Color speaker is a small wonder, making out-loud listening undeniably portable, powerful and fun.
Bose also introduced the SoundLink On-Ear for $249.95. It’s the first on-ear Bluetooth headphone from the company.
The SoundLink on-ear Bluetooth headphones deliver all the audio performance of a Bose wired headphone. Bose Active Equalization and TriPort technology combine for smoother, more balanced sound. Mid-high frequencies are natural, and low-frequencies are detailed and full. Yet, there are no cords or cables, so you can take calls, or enjoy a video, movie or music freely. The headphones let you hear and be heard, wherever you are. A new two-microphone system rejects distractions like wind, so callers can hear what you’re saying more, and the sounds around you less.
The Soundlink Headphones are on sale today and the speaker begins shipping September 25th.

Both combine renowned Bose performance with new functionality and style.
SoundLink® Color Bluetooth® Speaker
The SoundLink® Color Bluetooth® speaker is a completely new SoundLink® design — but is still every inch a SoundLink®. With its size and performance, the SoundLink® Color speaker is a small wonder, making out-loud listening undeniably portable, powerful and fun.
The SoundLink® Color Bluetooth® speaker is so easy to use, you’ll be listening in no time. It connects wirelessly to a smartphone, tablet or other Bluetooth enabled device, and uses voice prompts — available in several languages — to simplify setup, and identify which source is connected. Turn it off, and the SoundLink® Color speaker remembers the last eight devices paired when powered back on. It then automatically connects to the two most recently used — your iPhone®, iPad®, Android®, or other Bluetooth enabled device. Switch back and forth without having to disconnect, reconnect and re-pair. Essential controls are on the product, and for added versatility, a 3.5mm stereo auxiliary input is integrated on the back of the enclosure.
The SoundLink® Color Bluetooth® speaker outlasts parties and playlists with rugged durability. Using a lithium-ion battery, it can last for up to eight hours of unplugged play time, and fully recharges with most USB power sources in as little as three hours. Its exhaustively tested housing is made of elastomer and plastic and comes in Black, White, Blue, Red and Mint.
SoundLink® On-Ear Bluetooth® Headphones
The new SoundLink® on-ear Bluetooth® headphones deliver a new level of performance for Bluetooth headphones. They feature crisp, powerful sound, new features, and a design that’s lighter and more comfortable than conventional Bluetooth headphones.

A new two-microphone system rejects distractions like wind, so callers can hear what you’re saying more, and the sounds around you less. Adaptive Audio Adjustment technology automatically changes volume based on speech level and ambient noise, letting you move from a quiet building to a busy street without missing a word.
The SoundLink® on-ear Bluetooth® headphones debut new functionality and are so intuitive, anyone can use them. They connect up to two devices at a time and let you switch between each, so you can watch a video from your tablet while staying connected to your smartphone. Simple voice prompts identify who’s calling, battery status and source connection. With commands on the earcup, you’re in control: turn it on and off, answer and end a call, adjust volume, play/pause, or control tracks, without using your phone.
The SoundLink® on-ear Bluetooth® headphones were precisely engineered for a busy life. They use rugged, impact-resistant materials, glass-filled nylon, and non-corrosive stainless steel — yet they weigh only 5.5 ounces. Designed to be worn comfortably for hours, they feature soft ear cushions and a headband pad made of fabric used in high-end automotive applications. To stow away, they fold smoothly for compact storage in a matching case. The SoundLink® Bluetooth® headphones come in Black or White, and charge easily with an included USB cable for up to 15 hours of listening, or up to two hours after a mere 15-minute charge.
The Bose® SoundLink® Story
Bose® SoundLink® speakers have been globally recognized for delivering the category standard for mobile audio. The original SoundLink® Mobile speaker quickly redefined the Bluetooth speaker category in 2011, and was updated in 2012 to offer even better sound performance. In June 2013, the SoundLink® Mini Bluetooth® speaker joined the product line, instantly becoming the market leader in ultra-portable options. The SoundLink® Bluetooth® speaker III debuted in early 2014 and pushed the boundaries further — sounding better, playing longer, and still built to last, with a new look and profile, and accessories to add and change colors. Now, new offerings join the family: the SoundLink® Color Bluetooth® speaker is the most affordable and lightest speaker option, and SoundLink® Bluetooth® headphones extend the line for wireless personal listening.
