Vifa, a high-end audio company out of Europe, has announced its new Oslo Bluetooth speaker. This minimalistic music player brings “top-grade” sound out of a modern and simple design. I was instantly drawn to this speaker because of its smooth looks, which are highlighted by a textured fabric design. Essentially, it looks nothing like similar offerings from JBL or UE. There’s a notable style here that stands out from the pack. It is available in six colors and has a built-in handle for traveling around from spot to spot.
On the inside, you’ll find two 50mm full-range drivers that are supported by dual 65W woofers. It uses Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and offers support for aptX. Vifa rates the internal battery at around eight hours on a full charge, which is handled by a proprietary AC adapter (no microUSB here). The new Olso is available for purchase overseas but is now available in the US at retailers like Fancy for $549.
See the softness, sense how the cover carefully encapsulates the technology inside. Your first time with Oslo will touch your eyes and open your senses. The vivid colours, the surprising texture, the sensation that there’s much more below the surface. The embroidered volume-buttons at the front, hinting: I am a loudspeaker. Inviting you to approach, explore, discover. Oslo is for real. Oslo is authentic, Oslo is genuine. An upright, compact design that whispers ‘Move me around, place me wherever you want.’ It’s Nordic aesthetics at its finest: Non-intrusive and discreet, yet remarkably confident about the statement it makes in any interior.
