Smartwatches and fitness trackers have been on the market for some time now. But if you haven’t climbed aboard the wearable train yet, Skagen’s latest Signatur Hybrid smartwatch sports a simplistic, all-metal enclosure complemented by a plethora of features, so it just might be exactly the smartwatch you’ve been holding out for.

Hailing from Denmark, Skagen has been in the watch game for over three decades now. And while this isn’t the company’s first smartphone-connected device, the Signatur Hybrid may be its most stylish. Highlighted by a sleek exterior and filled with functionality, at first glance you’ll be hard-pressed to notice it is a smartwatch.

The Signatur Hybrid packs most of the flagship features found in other smartwatches. As you can probably expect, it offers text/call notifications, music playback control, and the ability to control your phone’s camera. You’ll even find more advanced functionality like fitness tracking and sleep monitoring. All of this is powered by a replaceable battery yielding 6-months of use.

It’s no shock then that the Signatur Hybrid pairs with iOS and Android companion apps which offer customization and the ability to tweak preferences. You can change things like which of your friends and family are worthy of sending vibrations to your smartwatch, assign color labels to apps and alarms and more.

While the Signatur Hybrid definitely delivers on the software side, it is really the design of the smartwatch that sets it self apart. Now you won’t find a touchscreen display, Skagen’s smartwatch sports a traditional round face framed in an all-metal unibody casing. Available in four different colorways.

As far as the wrist-mounted smartphone companions go, the Signature Hybrid is fairly competitive on the cost side as well. While a new Apple Watch will run you nearly $300, Skagen’s new smartwatch comes in at a starting list price of $175. So for those that don’t necessarily need a tiny display on their wrist but still want the benefits of a smartwatch, this may be a great option.

The Signatur Connected hybrid smartwatch boasts a range of smart features in the body of a classic watch. By connecting to your Android™ or iPhone® and the SKAGEN app, the watch automatically updates to the correct time and date and sends you discreet notifications when you receive a text, email or call. It runs on a standard replaceable CR2430 coin-cell battery. The strap can be easily interchanged with other 20mm straps. Additional features include: activity and sleep tracking, dual-time function, music control and more.
