With dual Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) ports, the SD5000T can support up to 40 Gbps of data, which is 8 times the speed of USB 3.0. It also supports dual 4K video. You can also connect via the DisplayPort. The SD5000T can also charge your laptop, providing up to 85W of charging power.
There are also dual USB 3.0 Type-A ports for compatibility with older devices. Many modern laptops now lack a wired Ethernet connection so the SD5000T provides a Gigabit Ethernet jack.
