Following the recession some 10 years ago, campers and RVs have seen a massive resurgence in popularity and sales. Not just limited to fifth-wheels and retirees, millennials are also taking an interest in this past-time.
The new Go Fast Camper fits that mold with its easy add-on design that is compatible with most popular trucks out there today. A new take on popup campers, this model sports one of the lightest designs on the market, all the while setting up “in just seconds.” Thanks to its modular design and low price (just $500 if pre-ordered), Go Fast is set to cash in on folks young and old looking to see the country.
Go Fast ditches the traditional RV and camper design for an ultra-light 200-pound space steel frame. By using a modular design that folds up, the camper can extend from fully collapsed to 94-inches tall. That’s enough standing room for most adults. Don’t be fooled by its lack of weight, as there’s quite a bit to see here.
Once the camper itself is popped up, canvas covers all sides for waterproof sleeping quarters. The bed is made from a honeycomb composite material that is promised to be both lightweight and comfortable. There is a hard-side option as well for storing gear while on the move. An aluminum chassis doubles as a rack for carrying everything from surfboards, to luggage and even wood for building fires.
