Swagtron, known for its expansive line of electric scooters and more, is today announcing a trio of new rideables. This includes two adult-focused electric folding bikes and a fat tire option for kids. With prices starting under $500, Swagtron is making an aggressive move to bring down the price of quality alternative transportation lower than ever before.
A shift in the market has caused Swagtron to slowly re-evaluate its offerings. Electric alternative transportation has seen a massive rise in popularity over the last few years, and that has largely driven today’s announcement from Swagtron. Director of Marketing, Jason Wakefield explains:
We’re seeing a shift, and e-rideables aren’t just for recreation. They’re viable eco-friendly transportation options for people in all walks of life.
First up is the EB-5, a two-wheel folding eBike that’s designed for commuters of all kinds. Listed at $600 but available at a $500 launch price, this represents one of Swagtron’s lowest entry points to the world of electric transportation.
Highlighted by its compact 26 by 24-inch design, the EB-5 sports “best size-to-performance ratio on the market.” It tops out at 15.5MPH, has a total range of around 16-miles and weighs in at 37-pounds. This isn’t going give you enough juice for long commutes, but it’s perfect for jaunts around town.
Also listed with a pre-order price of $500 is the new Swagcycle Pro. Like the EB-5, it will also jump up to $600 at a later date. It’s has a foldable design as well, but ditches the built-in pedals for more of a scooter feel. It’s powered by a 350W motor that provides a 16-mile range and 18MPH top-speed. Where the Swagcycle Pro stands out is its integrated GPS and iOS/Android connectivity. It’s able to communicate pertinent data like range and location to the free app.
Finally, Swagtron is also releasing the new EB-6 Youth Electric Fat Bike. Priced from $800, this full-featured two-wheeler sports four-inch fat tires, a 350W motor and dual disc brakes. With built-in seven speed shifters and a 20-mile range, this eBike is sure to be a hit with kids. Frankly, I’d like one. The fat tire design is made for younger riders that may require additional support when it comes to getting used to the feel of an electric bike.
Each of the new Swagtron releases are available for purchase today direct from the manufacturer.

SWAGTRON Introduces Three New Electric Bikes
COSTA MESA, CA (May 3, 2018) – SWAGTRON™, the undisputed leader in electric rideables, expands its cycling line with the introduction of three new electric bikes, including two folding e-bikes and a youth electric fat-tire mountain bike.
Building on the success of its UL-certified hoverboards, electric skateboards, electric scooters and the original Swagcycle, the brand seeks to further utilize its expertise in the burgeoning segment by offering e-bikes that blend technology, performance and value.
“We’re seeing a shift, and e-rideables aren’t just for recreation,” says Director of Marketing Jason Wakefield. “They’re viable eco-friendly transportation options for people in all walks of life.”
The EB-5 is a lightweight, folding aluminum bike designed for the urban commuter. Combining a smooth and powerful 250-watt motor with the ability to quickly fold (approximately 10 seconds) to a compact 26 by 23.6 inches, the EB-5 seamlessly blends modern e-mobility with unmatched portability and storage. In fact, it boasts what is perhaps the best size-to-performance ratio on the market. It’s the perfect last-mile solution for navigating public transportation, stairs and elevators, and stores easily, even in the limited space many of us have in the home and office. Top speed: 15.5 mph. Range: 15.5 miles. MSRP: $599.99
The EB-6 is a electric fat-tire mountain bike engineered for younger riders with 20-inch wheels and a smaller frame. In true fat bike fashion, the EB-6 boasts 4-inch tires to provide the traction necessary for conquering a variety of loose trail surfaces, including dirt, sand and snow. Kids new to mountain biking can be discouraged by longer rides. That’s why the EB-6 is powered by a 350-watt motor that can be engaged via throttle or a “pedal to go” mode similar to pedelec, giving young riders the power to go farther. Front and rear disc brakes and a 7-speed shimano drivetrain round out the trail-ready build. Top speed: 18.6 mph. Range: 20 miles. MSRP: $839.98
The Swagcycle PRO builds on the success of the original Swagcycle with the addition of an iOS/Android app, longer battery life and an improved top speed of 18 miles per hour. Like the original Swagcycle, it’s a fully electric pedal-less “scooter bike” featuring a compact, folding design—one of the smallest e-bikes available. The PRO’s 350-watt motor makes for a zippy ride, and dual disc brakes are standard. Perfect for fun cruises, enhanced mobility, even short commutes. Top speed: 18 mph. Range: 15.5 miles. MSRP: $600
