Power Up! with Moleskine’s new Mario-inspired notebooks, backpack, and phone case

Nintendo has been getting a lot of love ever since the debut of its overwhelmingly-successful Switch console. With official partnerships being struck with lots of companies, including Anker, it is clear that Nintendo has the marketshare to be remain relevant for quite some time. Although it’s latest partnership with stationary and bag manufacturer, Moleskine, is one that I do not think many were predicting, I do anticipate that the new Mario-inspired notebooks, backpack, and phone case will be quite successful.

Even though Moleskine has only been around for 20 years, during that time it has managed to become a go-to brand for various types of luxury notebooks, backpacks, and more. The Italian manufacturer’s eye-for-design paired with quality products have led to a level of success that has enabled it to strike partnerships with many well-known brands.

Examples from the company’s limited-edition notebooks include options based on the Star Wars franchise, Dr. Seuss, Pokémon, and more, making Mario a great addition to this line-up.

The notebooks produced as a result of Moleskine working with Nintendo include Game Boy, Mario in Motion, NES Cartridge, and Full Game. Although all four options are stunning, The Full Game notebook has to be my favorite amongst the group. From the bright blue sky to the star that Mario is just about to snag, this one stays true to its name by encompassing multiple parts of the game in just one image.

The Super Mario Limited Edition Rolltop Backpack is also available and is a great way to show off your love for Nintendo and Mario. Not only is this backpack great for fans, minimalists will appreciate how slender it is and how minimal the graphics are. When closed, the backpack is black with red handles and a simple representation of the buttons found on an original Nintendo controller.

Lastly, Moleskine is offering a red smartphone case with a tweaked version of its logo. Instead of showing a grid of 9 boxes with an M at the top-left, the company has opted to replace some of the boxes with Mario-themed blocks. They even place the NES version of Mario above the blocks. The unfortunate news is that the company will not offer this case for sale online, instead you will have to keep an eye on Moleskine authorized retailers if you consider this case a must-have.

Barring the smartphone case, all of the items mentioned are available for order today. If you are used to buying Moleskine products, the cost of the new products is in line with what we have come to expect from the company. They are priced between $20-25 and can be purchased and Prime shipped from Amazon. If you’re interested in the backpack, you’ll need to order directly from Moleskine for $159.
