Laptops have hit a stagnant season it seems. Obviously, there are speed improvements, and bezels are getting thinner, but outside of that (and Apple’s Touch Bar), the laptop game has gone stale…until HP decided to make the exterior of its premium Spectre Folio 13 out of leather, that is.

You read that right, HP has a new Spectre Folio 13 Convertible PC that has a leather exterior resembling an actual bound folio. TwelveSouth sells an accessory to make your MacBook resemble a book, but nothing like this.

The Spectre Folio 13 is designed to be a business-styled computer. Its premium leather-bound casing and internals means that it’s ready for business or pleasure. You can pick up the Spectre Folio 13 with a Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, and 13.3-inch full HD touch display.

The i7 is a quad core/eight-thread processor and you even have two Thunderbolt 3 ports on this machine. There’s also an extra USB 3.1 Type-C port, regular USB 3.1 Type-A port, and a headphone jack. Oh, and on top of 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2, HP is giving you LTE as well so you can be connected anywhere you go.

You’ll get Bang & Olufsen quad speakers for great media consumption, and a full-sized keyboard. The Spectre Folio 13 is sure built to be a portable workstation, with other features like accelerometers, gyroscopes, and eCompass sensors packed in.

HP also includes a stylus in the box so you can sketch and use the Spectre Folio 13 as a tablet should you choose. This laptop really is designed to be a business-oriented device and will be perfect for note-taking, signing documents, and keeping up with your email.

The leather doesn’t just end on the top of this laptop, however. You’ll find the leather binding all the way around the device, even making its way onto the bezels and the top surface next to the trackpad.

You’ll also get up to 18 hours of battery life, meaning you can go all day without the worry of having to stay near power outlets. And if the battery does run low, just keep a USB-C Power Delivery external battery bank with you and plug up to keep your laptop going for even longer.

With a ship date of October 17th, you can expect to pay $1,499.99 shipped directly from HP. If you’re in the market for a high-end ultrabook with unique styling and LTE support, this might be a perfect choice.
