HyperX Cloud MIX is the latest entry in the company’s growing lineup of highly rated headsets. Known for its pro-quality audio solutions for gamers, HyperX is looking to branch out with the latest release. While it is very much designed with gamers in mind, its hybrid design allows it to transition from the living room to the street with ease.
The whole idea with the HyperX Cloud MIX headset is to offer a professional level product for gamers that will also work as a stylish Bluetooth headset while on-the-go.
Clearly HyperX has aimed somewhere down the middle with the design. You’re likely not going to want to be walking down the street with one of those giant futuristic military-looking headsets on. And judging by the images here, it looks like the company has done a nice job offering up the best of both worlds.
Dual Microphone Functionality
By including one detachable (TeamSpeak and Discord Certified) boom microphone for gaming sessions along with a built-in option, HyperX has managed to keep the aesthetics in check here. Both options feature more than suitable frequency response ranges (up to 18,000 Hz) and there’s some nice noise-cancellation tech in place on the electric condenser boom mic.
HyperX Cloud MIX leverages technologies from the Cloud 2 and Cloud Alpha headsets to meet demanding audio requirements. The new headphones feature dual chamber technology with 40mm drivers that can top out at up to 40kHz (when in wired mode). You’re also looking at on-board controls for audio playback and microphone settings.Â
There is no wireless dongle involved here like other HyperX cans. You’ll get typical wireless Bluetooth transmission with your phone and the like, whereas the detachable braided cable delivers full-quality audio for PC/console gaming. That’s Bluetooth 4.2 with a 10 meter range and up to 20 hours of playback on a singe charge. Check out more specs down below.
The new HyperX Cloud MIX is now available exclusively at Best Buy for $199.99.
Speaking of HyperX, go check out the new FURY RGB internal and SAVAGE EXO portable SSDs, Predator DDR4 IR-synced RGB RAM and Pulsefire FPS Pro gaming mouse.
