Amazon is offering the Sony PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset (2018 model) for $70.99 shipped. Matched at Target. Originally $100, it dropped down to $80 at most retailers this summer and is now within cents of the Amazon all-time low. This is a couple bucks below our previous mention and the best price around. It features a companion app with custom audio profiles created by game developers and a hidden noise-cancelling microphone for yelling at people online. More than 60% off Amazon reviewers left a 4+ star rating.

You will certainly find comparable options from Turtle Beach and Logitech, not to mention this this $55 HyperX model. But if you want the first-party headset now’s your chance. While we expect some kind of price drop over the holidays, it’s hard to say how far below the still $100 MSRP it will go. With its lineup being refreshed with the new white model this month, that might keep the official price drops from getting overly deep.
