Amazon offers the UBTECH Star Wars First Order Stormtrooper Robot for $149.99 shipped. Originally retailing for $300, it has more recently been selling for around $220. That’s good for an over 30% discount and is a new Amazon all-time low. This iPhone-enabled robot stands 16-inches tall and features facial recognition. It also includes an Augmented Reality game you can play with the First Order trooper. Nearly 50% of shoppers have left a 4+ star rating and you can learn more in our announcement coverage.

Earlier this year at Toy Fair, I got a look at UBTECH’s First Order Stormtrooper and was pretty impressed by what the company showed off.

Those looking to bring home a piece of a galaxy far, far away can save even more and opt for Sphero’s iPhone-controlled R2-D2 at $58. This little astromech droid is only 6-inches tall and lacks some of the more advanced features like facial recognition. But at 60% less, it’s still a must-have for any Star Wars fan.

UBTECH Stormtrooper Robot features:

  • Companion App with Augmented Reality: Protect the First Order against the Resistance in your own room, issuing direct verbal orders, and launch attacks via the app interface in first and third person views for immersive interactive app play.
  • Issue orders directly to your First Order Stormtrooper Robot to carry out your bidding.
  • Facial Recognition: Create a database of up to three faces using the facial biometrics feature for customized interactions.
