Skullcandy covers official new TMNT gaming headsets in transparent glow-in-the-dark ooze

The new Skullcandy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles headphone collaboration is launching today. Featuring limited-edition ooze-covered designs, the brand is looking to take on Microsoft’s nearly-impossible to get TMNT peripherals with it latest releases, but don’t worry, the Skullcandy gear doesn’t smell like pizza. The new headphones come in the form of the Skullcandy x TMNT Push Active True Wireless Earbuds and Skullcandy x TMNT PLYR Multi-Platform Wireless Gaming Headset to celebrate the “fan-favorite franchise ahead of its 40th anniversary” with vibrant toxic green designs and nods to the crime fighting martial arts turtles around every corner. Alongside the ooze-covered designs, Skullcandy says its new TMNT gear features “state-of-the- art audio technology” and is dripping with nods to Don, Leo, Raph, and Mikey:

Okay so the Skullcandy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles headphones aren’t actually dripping in toxic superhero ooze, obviously, but you will find transparent and glow-in-the-dark elements inspired by TCRI Mutagen Ooze alongside turtle-shell earcups a manhole cover inside the ear cushion, a radioactive headband, and, of course, a boom mic made to look like a pepperoni pizza. 

From there, Skullcandy is also offering interchangeable ear gel and suspension headband colorways so fans of the series can rep their favorite Turtle:

…Reptile–red for Raph’s direct attack, purple for Don’s calculated strategy, orange for Mikey’s controlled chaos or blue if you’re ready to lead the Turtles like Leo. 

They are otherwise and for the most part just TMNT versions of the already available Skullcandy Push Active In-Ear Wireless Earbuds that sell for $40 and the Skullcandy PLYR Multi-Platform Over-Ear Wireless Gaming Headset currently listed at $106.
