Update: Today’s State of Play showcase served up a new gameplay trailer for Silent Hill 2 as well as the release date: October 8, 2024.
Fans of the Silent Hill series are on for treat this evening as Konami has announced the next Silent Hill Transmission showcase. It marks the first of its kind since way back in 2022 when the Silent Hill 2 remake first made an appearance alongside some spin-off titles, but today’s show will almost certainly have at least something to say about the anticipated horror experience. In fact, we are in for quite a lengthy show tonight, albeit one split between games, the upcoming film, and some other goodies, for fans of the not-so constantly long-running series. Silent Hill Transmission showcase – Silent Hill 2 remake, and more
The main draw of tonight’s show will almost certainly be the details and hopefully more gameplay footage from the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake.
Sony might have given us our first really good look at the latest state of the game during its PlayStation show at the top of the year, but it sounds like we are in for more straight from Konami this afternoon/evening. Sony may have let the cat out of the bag when it hinted the game was indeed releasing this year, but an official announcement might very well be on the docket for this evening
Consider this your invitation letter to Silent Hill.

As for what’s going on with other looming entires in the series, like Silent Hill: Townfall, Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill: Ascension, only time will tell and it won’t be long before we find out if the spin-offs make an appearance. But with the show set to run for over 40 minutes, one can only hope it won’t be quick teaser release trailer for the sequel remake and all movie talk.
