Xbox teams up with Amazon to bring hundreds of Game Pass Ultimate titles to Fire TV Sticks

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Amazon Fire TV Sticks

Amazon’s Fire TV sticks, especially the flagship 4K Max model, have been popular among 9to5Toys readers, but they are about to get another sweet new feature to add even more value, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. While we did previously see Xbox bring its Game Pass cloud service directly into the Samsung Gaming Hub on its smart TVs, today’s announcement marks one of the first times it will expand beyond that. This all starts next month and you can get all of the details down below.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate officially lands on Amazon’s Fire TV Sticks

In Xbox continued effort to dominate the cloud gaming space, it has now officially teamed up with Amazon to offer up hundreds of cloud-enabled games directly through the new Xbox app on select Fire TV devices with no console required.

That means that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to stream what sounds like a pretty massive selection of cloud-enabled titles using not much more than an Amazon Fire TV stick. You will need a Bluetooth controller of some kind – most gamers already have one of these laying around – and the Xbox games will only be supported on the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K and the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max with Wi-Fi 6E support.

This integration brings the vast Xbox Game Pass Ultimate game library to your TV with just a compatible Fire TV Stick and Bluetooth-enabled controller, making gaming more available. From epic RPGs like Starfield and Fallout 4 to high-octane racers like Forza Horizon 5, you can experience console-quality gaming through cloud gaming.

What was already a relatively value-packed experience for some folks just got a whole lot more so with Xbox integration. You’ll still need to have a Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, a controller, and buy the Fire TV Stick, but with regular deals on Game Pass and upcoming Prime Day offers sure to land any minute now on the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K models, it is a whole lot less than buying a $300+ Series X|S.
