Nintendo just officially announced two more livestream events specifically for ‘hands-on gameplay’ of Switch 2 titles

Update: According to the official Nintendo Today! app, the Treehouse presentations detailed below will last for 4 hours and 3 hours, respectively.

As you already know from our Countdown to Nintendo Switch 2 Direct feature this morning, the show is set to go live tomorrow morning and we now have some additional official details. Nintendo has now issued a press release and some extra details to look forward to on its official X (Twitter) page regarding not just the Switch 2 Direct, but also some follow up coverage that will highlight gameplay.

Nintendo Switch 2 Direct will be roughly 1 hour long

The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, as you like know by now, and as we detailed right here, will be live tomorrow, April 2nd at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET to deliver a “closer look at Nintendo Switch 2!”

We now know the show will be “approximately 60 minutes long.” Nice!

We, much like the rest of the planet, are expecting to get a complete rundown of the price, pre-order details, hardware features of the console itself, and a closer look at launch games.

Now 60 minutes is a good lengthy show, that’s for sure – we wouldn’t expect much less for something as big as the next-generation of Nintendo gaming. But with so much to go over in terms of hardware, it’s hard to say how much screen time the actual games, and details on them, will get.

Fortunately, Nintendo has also now announced some follow up coverage specifically geared towards the games – or at least it very much sounds like this coverage will be taking a much closer look at Switch 2 exclusive titles:

Join us on April 3rd and April 4th at 7 a.m. PT each day for a Nintendo Treehouse: Live | Nintendo Switch 2 presentation featuring hands-on gameplay of #NintendoSwitch2 games!

There will be a pair of Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentations taking place the following two days after the Switch 2 Direct to show off hands-on gameplay of Nintendo SwItch 2 games!

Does this mean one game one day and another the next? Or will we be getting a series of different shorter looks at several upcoming Switch 2 titles? Do these games also include titles like Metroid Prime 4 that are also coming to Switch 1?

Only time will tell, and it won’t be long now.

Here’s a long at the scheduled events from the Nintendo Today! app:
