Nintendo just officially revealed the Drag X Drive Switch 2 release date

After Donkey Kong Bananza releases next month on July 17, the summer Switch 2 release schedule is looking a bit thin if you ask me. That said, Nintendo just unleashed a new trailer for its upcoming Drag X Drive in the Nintendo Today! app officially revealing the August release date.

Drag X Drive Switch 2 release date

Nintendo describes Drag X Drive as the “next-generation of 3-on-3 sports” for Nintendo Switch 2. Largely made as a showcase for the mouse functionality of the Switch 2 Joy-Con, this setup allows “for tight control of both your wheels as you speed around the court. Raise your hand and flick your wrist to shoot…and score! Team up with – or take on – friends and players from around the world online in fast-paced 3-on-3 matches.”

Up until now, all we had was a loose Q3 2025 release window for the game, but the short teaser trailer Nintendo just unleashed has now confirmed the game will release on Switch on August 14, 2025.

Here’s the initial reveal trailer for the game:
