Remember when it was actually difficult to get a Switch 2 at retail? It wasn’t all that long ago when folks were clamoring for a fresh new announcement that Walmart, or Best Buy, or Target would have a scheduled restock, but that is not the case anymore. Anyone looking to grab a new Switch 2 console can readily do so right now without getting off the couch or making their way to the local Best Buy when the doors open, or anything like that.
- Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle $499 (Walmart)
- Switch 2 + Pokémon: Legends Z-A $499 (Walmart)
- Switch 2 Console only $449 (Walmart)
- Switch 2 Console only $450 (Target)
- Switch 2 + Pokémon: Legends Z-A $500 (Target)
- Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle $500 (Best Buy)
- Switch 2 + Pokémon: Legends Z-A $500 (Best Buy)
As of right now, Walmart, Best Buy, and Target all have Mario Kart World and the new Pokémon bundle up for grabs with ease. If you were holding out until the craze died down, or perhaps want to grab a second one, casually perusing any of the links above will get the job done.
As we have detailed previously, the Mario Kart World bundle, if you want a copy of the pricey $80 experience, is easily the best overall value here. You’re going to pay a total of $530 buying the console on its own for $450 and the game later at $80, so the $500 bundle option is worthwhile. That said, you won’t get a physical copy of the game for your shelf in the game room that way.
The Pokémon Legends: Z-A bundle appears to have some savings attached to it, and it very much does considering you’ll get the game and the console for $20 less than buying them individually, but it really only makes sense if you’re looking to score the redesigned console box as a collector’s item or if you know you’re not going to want to buy Mario Kart World anytime soon.
Buying the Pokémon bundle and Mario Kart World separately will cost you $580.
But buying the Mario Kart World bundle and Pokémon Legends: Z-A separately will cost you $570.
That’s clearly not a huge difference, but it is something to keep in mind.
Either way, the days of consoles being completely out of stock for months on end are, at least for now, and at least with Switch 2, a thing of the past. And this is not because no one wants one (obviously), the fastest selling console in U.S. in history just happens to be readily available right now and who knows if this will always be the case or not…both of the bundles are limited time runs according to Nintendo.
