After giving us a complete detailed look at the new Kirby Air Riders, including the November 11, 2025 release date, Nintendo has just taken to the official Nintendo Today! App and X to announce the details on the next Direct – another dedicated Kirby Air Riders show ahead of launch.
Nintendo Direct goes live again this week
Nintendo and creator Mr. Sakurai already gave us a particularly thorough look at the new Kirby racing game back in mid-August. It was a lengthy 45-minute demo detailing just about ever aspect of the experience and then some, complete with gameplay footage, details on the power-ups and Rider roster, and so forth. But it’s not done yet.
Nintendo has now revealed the next Nintendo Direct and it will be another dedicated Kirby Air Riders livestream that will go live on Thursday October 23, 2025. Believe it or not, this one is going to be even longer at “about 60 minutes” with “information on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 game and a presentation from Mr. Sakurai.”
Join us on Oct. 23 at 6 a.m. PT for a second #KirbyAirRiders Direct with director Mr. Sakurai. The livestreamed presentation will last roughly 60 minutes and feature more info on the upcoming #NintendoSwitch2 game.
Does Nintendo really need another 60 minutes of Direct livestream on this game? I’m not sure, but I hope so because it doesn’t typically need nearly 2 hours of livestream just to show off a new game. Maybe we are in for some interesting hardware releases, or a special Kirby Air Riders Switch 2 bundle.
