Nintendo just debuted a new Metroid Prime 4: Beyond gameplay trailer

Nintendo finally revealed the December launch date for the long awaited Metroid Prime 4: Beyond after nearly a year of waiting, and it just debuted a brand new trailer for the game you can check out below. 

Arguably one of the very first Nintendo games revealed for Switch 2, even before we really knew Switch 2 was coming, Nintendo just recently gave up the December 4 release date for Samus’ next adventure back in mid-September. 

The release date puts the new Metroid Prime 4: Beyond as Nintendo’s big-time holiday Switch 2 game while also coming alongside the reveal of the Vi-O-La – Samus’ technologically advanced bike used to “traverse and explore the environment.” 

Fast forward to this morning and Nintendo has landed on its official X account with a brand new trailer for the game you can scope out below:

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – Survive:

The Metroid Prime 4: Beyond game launches December 4, 2025, only on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch systems. Pre-orders are available now on Nintendo eShop. Take on the role of Samus Aran, who finds herself transported to Viewros—a mysterious planet once inhabited by an ancient race. Now she must explore this planet, all while battling the strange creatures that inhabit it, to find her way home. Nintendo Switch 2 players who have Metroid Prime 4: Beyond on Nintendo Switch can upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by purchasing the upgrade pack.
