Nintendo invited us to come play Virtual Boy, Mario Tennis Fever, and more, check it out! [Video]

We were recently lucky enough to attend a private Nintendo event in NYC to try out some the latest releases landing on Switch/Switch 2 this year, and we filmed it all for you. From the new Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics platform and its accompanying hardware through to the upcoming Mario Tennis Fever release and more, hit the jump to watch us go hands-on with Nintendo’s latest.

Hands-on with new Virtual Boy

Nintendo recently unleashed a new overview trailer for its upcoming Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics library. We have details on the launch games, as well as a look at a collection of titles set to land on the platform through the year and beyond. But our very own Fernando also just recently had a chance to test it out ourselves at a private Nintendo event – scope it out below:

I got exclusive hands-on access to the return of the Virtual Boy, now reimagined for the Nintendo Switch 2 — and yes, it actually works on every Switch, including the OG Switch and Switch OLED.

In this video, I walk through how Nintendo brought back one of its most infamous consoles from the ’90s, how the experience feels today, and why this is equal parts nostalgia, museum piece, and genuinely cool tech experiment. From classic Virtual Boy games like Wario Land to the trippy old-school 3D effect, this is a true blast from the past — running on modern hardware.

Mario Tennis Fever

Another highlight from the event was getting to test out the new Mario Tennis Fever. Now set for release next week exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2, we got our first hands-on look at Mario’s next outing, and let’s say we are very much liking what we are seeing – check it out for yourself below:

Exclusive hands-on with Mario Tennis Fever on Nintendo Switch 2!

In this video, I’m sharing my first impressions after playing Mario Tennis Fever—and honestly, this might be one of my favorite Mario sports games in a long time.
