Pokémon Day 2026 has officially arrived and we are in for a special 30th anniversary Pokémon Presents showcase this morning. The Pokémon Company officially revealed that it would be hosting a special live stream event on February 27 and it kicks off very soon.
Pokémon Presents – 30th anniversary Pokémon Day 2026
As you like know, this year marks the 30th anniversary of Pokémon Red and Blue games, and while the celebration already kicked off earlier this week with the announcement of the original game’s remakes landing on Switch and Switch 2 (Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen), this morning’s Pokémon Presents headlines the official start to Pokémon Day 2026.
…get the latest news and updates from the world of Pokémon—then get ready for a year’s worth of Pokémon fun!
The show is expected to run for roughly 25 minutes, although it wouldn’t surprise us if it ran over – chances are this thing is going to be a jam-packed full of new content updates and hopefully, a look or teaser for the new Gen 10 mainline Pokémon Nintendo Switch 2 game to cap the show off.
We already know the new Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, which are now up for pre-order, will officially release immediately after the show, and the new Pokémon LEGO sets are now available for purchase, but we are expecting some kind of major announcement, if not more than one, during today’s Pokémon Presents showcase.
Today’s Pokémon Presents kicks off at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET and we will be here watching it along with you. We will embed the livestream Pokémon Presents below as soon as it is live (it will be very soon).
