Mario Day 2026 is fast approaching with new reveals, deals, and game announcements already warping in. Nintendo has just announced a collection of new Mario titles landing in the Nintendo Classics library, retailers are already primed with upcoming events, and we already have a hint at this year’s Mario Day Switch 2 console bundle. But there’s plenty more to come as we set to celebrate the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond on Mario Day 2026.

Updating…

What is Mario Day?

Mario Day s an annual celebration of the world famous Nintendo Mascot. It takes place every year on March 10 and is typically joined by a series of game discounts, fun activities, special console bundles, and more.

Why is it called MAR10?

Look closely…MAR10..Mario…March 10 is Mario Day. Get it? It’s just a fun play on the abbreviation of the month March and the 10th day that happens to look exactly like the word Mario (MAR10).

What are the Mario Day Switch game deals? Will there be any deals on Switch 2 games for MAR10?

For the last few years, Nintendo has delivered a series of discounts on first-party Switch games for Mario Day. We presume this year will be no different, but there is one major question here: Will there actually be any Switch 2 games or just Switch titles?

The answer is unclear, Nintendo does usually serve up a series of first-party, brand name title deals, but considering this will be Switch 2’s first Mario Day celebration, it is unclear whether or not Switch 2 exclusive games will be included in the deals. If we had to guess the answer would be mostly no, but we did see some light deals on Switch 2 titles for The Game Awards last year, so it is not out of the question.

The Mario game deals will almost certainly land at major retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and others, but you can also expect their to be a large selection of digital titles on sale in the eShop as well.

What is the Mario Day Switch console bundle this year?

Typically speaking, Nintendo usually serves up some kind of special Mario Day Switch console bundle. It usually consists of a traditional console with special packaging and some extra savings in the form of a FREE game or something along those lines.

Nintendo of America is yet to announce what this year’s will be, or if it is even going to have one, but we did spot an official announcement (pictured above) for the Nintendo Australia and New Zealand Mario Day bundle today – it is a standard Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle that also comes with a FREE year’s worth of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack access (that’s $50 in savings plus the built-in savings you can score the MK World bundle regularly).

Will Nintendo announce new Switch Online games for Mario Day 2026?

Yes! In fact, it already has. Early this morning it announced it was releasing Mario’s Tennis and Mario Clash to the Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics library as well as Mario vs. Donkey Kong on the Game Boy Advance side of things. All three titles will launch on March 10, 2026.

We were very much hoping to see Mario Sunshine usher in spring 2026 by landing in the GameCube library and Mario Day seems like a good time to announce its release date. It could happen, but Nintendo is, at least for now, giving the previous titles some time in the sun beforehand.
